THE future of Gembrook was on the agenda during a recent Cardinia Shire Council community workshop.
The council has been gathering information for the review of the Gembrook Township Strategy.
The council’s manager of Strategic Planning John Holland said the 17 June workshop was well attended and a lot of valuable feedback was received.
“Working in groups, workshop participants established six main topics for further discussion including future development, environment, township character, infrastructure, visitor services and transport,” Mr Holland said. Gembrook’s young people will have the opportunity to voice their opinions on issues and opportunities within their community when Cardinia Shire Council’s MYBus makes a visit to Gembrook Skate Park on Thursday 16 July.
Cardinia Shire Council has also been consulting with community groups including the Gembrook Township Committee, Gembrook Business Group, Gembrook playgroup and the First Gembrook Scouts and Venturers.
