THIS was Berwick Senior Citizens’ first meeting under new president Isabella Price, and it went off rather well.
A goodly number of our members attended.
At the opening, mention was made of May Duff, a long-time member who had passed away, and the club stood in memory of her.
A warm welcome was extended to Diane Kimmit as a new member, and it was good to see back Gwen Davidson who has recovered from sickness. The door prizes went to Jack Smith and Verna Thewlis. Sheila Carter won the meat tray, and Gladys Obeth had success in the voucher.
A raffle was won by Mary Barford with second prize going to Bessie Gould.
After that members were entertained by songs from Lone Ranger, whose range included many favourites, both old and new, and was much appreciated.
All inquiries to president Isabella Price, phone 9707 5936.
Welcome and farewell
