Country concert

COUNTRY music star Bec Hance is coming home to rock the Yannathan Hall.
The musician, born and bred in Lang Lang, will play at the venue on Saturday 22 August.
Hance, 27, has just released her second studio album The Tranquillity.
She says the album has still got that “Australiana country feel” and is looking forward to performing some of its tracks to her home crowd.
Two of the tracks – I’ll Cry and You’ll find a Bloke – are getting plenty of airplay on country music radio around Australia.
Hance has been making inroads on the country music scene – last year she selected as one of 10 musicians who battled it out in Tamworth’s Toyota Star Maker competition.
The competition is one of Australia’s most prestigious talent searches with previous winners including Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, James Blundell and Gina Jeffreys.
Hance has been winning competitions, performing at pubs and low key weddings since teaching herself guitar and strengthening her vocals with singing lessons.
The former Kooweerup Secondary College student is looking forward to belting out a few tunes for her home crowd – and so are they.
“I’ve been approached by a few people now to do a show in the local area,” she said.
Hance’s show at the Yannathan Hall kicks off at 8pm. Tickets are $12 and supper is included.
