Match of the day at a glance

Narre Warren v Berwick
Saturday, 2.15pm at Fox Road

Narre Warren: The run and carry created by teenage midfielders Justin Marriott, Tim Werner and Jackson Parker can be devastating if they can produce it with consistency.

Berwick: The twin towers in attack, Jason Heath and Grant Noonan will be formidable opposition for the young Magpie defenders, as they have for all comers this season.

Narre Warren: This is crunch game for the Magpies. Has the physical battering of a tough season caught up with the young bodies at Fox Road?

Berwick: How will the Wickers come off the bye? Switched on and they win, but if they’re sluggish off the mark – look out.

Narre Warren: There’s a kid running around in jumper number 61 who could be anything. His name is Ben Wragg and you can expect to hear a lot more about him very soon.

Berwick: As long as his bionic shoulder holds together, Brad Miles could be the difference at either end of the ground.

In the first round Narre Warren shocked the Wickers with a full-ground speed blitz, however things have changed. The young Magpies are showing signs of wear after a long season and Berwick is almost back to full strength.
The tables will be turned this time with Berwick to win by four goals.
