BERWICK Senior Citizens president Isabella Price was indisposed so vice-president Wilma James took over, extending a welcome to four visitors from Narre Warren – Jean and Bob Halyframe and Anne and Rex Campbell.
Isabella is making good progress; Monica Miller is still in Casey Hospital.
The two winners of the door prizes were Wilma Clark and Gladys Obeth. The meat tray was won by Wilma Clark, while the voucher went to Elizabeth Sturgeon.
At the bingo that followed, the prizes went to Diane Kimmit (twice), Wilma James, Barbara Cunningham, Ella Matheson, Verna Thewlis, Jack Smith, Vera Giles and Ron Giles.
But the loudest shout went up for the unlucky four winners of one game – Nora Todd, Elsie Smith, Jackie Villalla and Bob Halyframe. Not much of a welcome to a visitor.
