RESIDENTS are invited to bring their pooches along for a free dog agility family fun day this Sunday.
Messy Pawz Dog Training will host the event at the off-leash dog park in Simon Drive, Pakenham from 11am.
Messy Pawz Dog training manager Sue Day, a canine behaviourist, said dog agility involved pooches jumping through tyres, over obstacles and weaving around poles.
“It’s a not only great fun and exercise, but it’s a great way to train your dog in many areas of obedience and build a meaningful relationship based on trust and respect” she said.
“We want more people in the Cardinia Shire to have fun with their dogs, so that’s why we are holding a free day.
“Everyone’s welcome to come and try our agility course. There are also going to be competitions, prizes and a raffle.”
Dog lovers are invited to bring a picnic lunch, water and a leash for their pet.
