Club celebrates Ruby milestone

THE Berwick Senior Citizens Club can thank its members for another happy day. Those unable to attend through infirmity were Diane Kimmit, Win Robinson, Gladys Obeth (a fall, but not serious) and Ella Matheson. A welcome back was extended to Lorna Bird, whose spell up north has done her good!
The door prizes went to Wilma Clark and Mary Sparks, Audrey Appleyard won the meat tray, while Ann Burrows got the voucher.
The members then settled down to bingo. The winners of the individual games were Bessie Gould, Juliette Carreck, Barbara Sweet, Berrill Elston, Alice Haynes, David Clark, Lucy Dickinson, Ann Cunningham, Wilma James, Jackie Villalla and David Clarke (again).
Members are reminded that the next Friday meeting is to celebrate the club’s 40th birthday, so a good attendance is requested, come rain, hail or shine. This must be one of the oldest seniors clubs in Melbourne to be still providing for its members.
Any inquiries can be addressed to president Isabella Price at phone 9707 5936.
