A DRIVER blew a blood-alcohol reading of .210 after being stopped at a booze bus in Berwick over the weekend.
The two-bus operation was set up along Princes Highway on Sunday between 3.30pm and 8.30pm and tested drivers travelling in both directions on the highway.
Casey Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Sergeant Pat McGavigan said police tested nearly 1000 drivers at one booze bus and 700 at the other.
Sgt McGavigan said he was extremely disappointed at the man who blew the highest reading on the day.
“That reading was extremely high,” he said.
Sgt McGavigan said the man had his licence suspended immediately.
He will face court at a later date, with Sgt McGavigan saying he expected the man to be off the road for a long time for the safety of all road users.
Police would continue to use all methods possible to detect and prosecute drivers taking the risk of drinking and driving, he said.
