HOT favourites Seaford ended the premiership dreams of Edithvale-Aspendale, overpowering the Sea Eagles by 57 points in a predictable Peninsula League grand final at Frankston Park on Sunday.
The Tigers led by 20 points at half-time, but shot away to a 10-goal lead in a third-quarter blitz and were untroubled by their smaller and less experienced opponents after that.
Vice-captain Josh Stokes was named best afield and awarded the VCFL Medal, while ruckman Daniel Clarke and star midfielder Chris Fortnam were also among the victor’s best players.
It was the Tigers third premiership in a row and also the second consecutive time they have beaten the Sea Eagles in a grand final.
Tigers too good, again
