Murphy’s luck!

PAKENHAM runner Travis Murphy held on to win the Pakenham Gazette’s Casey Cardinia League tipsters’ poll by one – courtesy of his side’s grand-final victory over Doveton.
Murphy tipped all three grand-final winners to finish the season with 76 winners and pipped self-proclaimed league expert Brad ‘Tangles’ Kingsbury and Doveton stalwart Stuart Batten who each tipped 75 victors.
It was Murphy’s first attempt as a tipster and he has apparently told the two he defeated to cough up a slab of VB each as a prize.
“Tell him he’s dreaming,” sniffed Batten on the weekend when told of Murphy’s demand.
