Moments of sadness and celebration

BERWICK Senior Citizens members had a pre-Christmas party to usher in the festive season.
While there was a festive celebration, there was also a solemn moment when members stood for a minute’s silence for Win Robinson, who passed away on Wednesday.
A happy birthday greeting was sung to Aileen Sweet and door prizes went to Lorna Bird and Mary Sparks.
Lorna Bird won the meat tray and Audrey Appleyard won a voucher.
Kingsley Koonwhye, a young man from Mauritius, entertained the members with his renditions of popular songs.
