Upper Beaconsfield fared marginally better to be 5/46 at stumps from 30 overs. Ash Adams 2/26 and Callum O’Hare 3/19 (15 overs) gave Tooradin a slim chance of winning this game. Sean Baker took two catches and Ben Mantel dismissed the dangerous Chris Pentland.
SUB DISTRICT

B GRADE
In an important game for Tooradin it lost the toss and restricted PUT to a score of 7/137 from 70 overs. The bowlers did well on the slow Rutter Park oval with Dale Bethune taking 2/27 off 10 overs, Darren Mantel 1/12 and Andrew Proctor 1/8. At tea the score was 5/54.
James Thompson, returning from an operation, bowled with good accuracy to have 0/15 from 11 overs and Peter O’Hare 1/28 (off 18) also restricted the scoring. Adam Galea took three catches and Adam Richmond was neat behind the stumps.
E GRADE
Except for losing the toss yet again, it was “Brendan Jones Day” against Lang Lang. The skipper led from the front and was involved in all but the last dismissal as Lang Lang was bundled out for 65. Jones finished with 8/32 and also took a screamer at slip to assist Ross Simpson to 2/33 from the other end. Simpson returned the favour, taking an excellent catch off Jones. In reply, Tooradin was 2/24 with another 70 overs to make the required 42 runs for victory.
UNDER 15
Tooradin Green played Cardinia and scored 9/92 from 40 overs. Youngster Rohan Simpson showed the way with 19, Owen Johnstone made 12 and Andrew Proctor nine. The score was boosted by some extras from the bowlers. The best partnership was between Fraser Rendell and Rohan Simpson and yielded 25.
Tooradin Red played Beaconsfield at Lakeside Oval and batted out its overs to be 8/89 at stumps. Once again Dylan Sutton held the innings together when he retired on 40. Luke Adams showed a good return to form with 21 and featured in the best partnership of the innings with Dylan – 51 runs. A young and inexperienced side, the Reds are improving with each game.
UNDER 13
Tooradin played Kooweerup and at the end of 40 overs had restricted it to 5/121. In an even bowling performance, youngster Ben Proctor’s figures of 1/3 (four overs) were the best. Rohan Simpson took a great catch and Brad Butler, Mitch Simpson, Trent Adams and Tom Bethune all took catches.
