BUNYIP Community House resident artist Karen Danielsen has painted a portrait of famous horse racing personality Gai Waterhouse.
Karen took about 15 hours to paint the portrait, using pastels from a photograph of the Sydney based trainer.
Ms Danielsen says she still needs “touch-ups” before the painting is finished and she shows Gai her painting.
The reason Karen painted the portrait was to show her art students aspects of portraiture, tone and the use of pastels.
It will be interesting if there is a response from Ms Waterhouse.
