Andrew Pinxt was lucky enough to shake the hand of Andre Rieu pictured above.WELL known local identity Andrew Pinxt recently went to see well known violin identity Andre Rieu doing his thing at Rod Laver Arena.
Andrew and wife Patsy made a night of it by staying in town and booking a room at the Grand Hyatt.
When they got up the next morning they found Andre’s orchestra tucking into a hearty breakfast at the hotel buffett.
Andrew was delighted to be seated next to the Dutch master’s son Pierre. But it was when the big man himself walked into the room, that things got very exciting. Andrew walked up to Andre and shook his hand, thanking him for the show.
Apparently he hasn’t washed his hand yet. Andrew that is, not Andre.
