ADAM Sandler movies are almost always slammed by movie critics as lacking substance, but movies such as Billy Maddison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy and Mr Deeds have always found a cult following.
Just Go With It is different.
While all of the usual faces pop up (Sandler movies always seem to include the same comedians) there is something different to the usual slapstick about this film.
Danny Maccabee (Adam Sandler) is a successful plastic surgeon in Los Angeles who feigns an unhappy marriage to get women, after having been heartbroken on his wedding day 20 years ago.
The only woman aware of his schemes is his office manager Katherine Murphy (Jennifer Aniston), a divorced mother of two.
In a way to stay with a woman that he meets, and actually likes, Danny invites Katherine and her two kids on a weekend trip to Hawaii after telling the woman he had children, and Katherine was his ex-wife.
Enter some funny moments, not always laugh out loud worthy, and a heart-warming ending.
Not bad, not great. Worth watching on a rainy afternoon though.
