THE Saturday par competition at Pakenham golf was won by Matthew Hogan (32) with +9. The A Grade winner was David Nagel (9) with +4 and the B Grade saw Damien Rhyne (21) with +4.
The nearest-the-pin on the second hole went to David K. Manning with the fifth hole going to David Nagel. Wayne Knudsen took out the eighth hole and the 14th went to Kevin Booker. Ian Mortimer was the winner of the 16th hole.

The longest drive winners were Clint Walker (A Grade), Ian Mortimer (B Grade) and Tony Bertolotti (C Grade).

The winner of the Sunday stableford competition was Peter Van Helmond with 35 points from Christopher Pitts with 34. Down-the-line balls went down 33.

The Monday competition concludes the Queen’s Birthday tournament with the winner John Hutcheon having to great rounds of 45 and 40 for a total 85. Along with his Saturday win, Monday’s 40 saw him have his second win in three days, runner-up Vjarn Du Priez narrowly beaten on a count back with 40.
Balls-down-the line went to 34 on a countback.

The bandit is back – Al Campbell blitzed the field on Wednesday with an amazing 45 to win by five points.
Four others shared second spot on 40, with balls down the line going to 34.
The day’s super competition was taken out by Matthew Hogan collecting a lovely $40 voucher for his back-nine efforts.

Progressive Raffle: The progressive raffle will now be held in conjunction with the Rodney Vincent night, due to a number of tickets not being sold. Please see the office and take home 10 tickets to sell to your family and friends and help your club along the way. First prize is a $1000 voucher with 10 $100 vouchers also being drawn.
Rodney Vincent Night: Rodney Vincent is coming back to Pakenham Golf Club to entertain us again. The date is 30 July and tickets are $30 per head with finger food served at interval. Places are filling very quickly, so if you have not got your name down on the sheet in the office – do not complain when there are no tickets left. Rodney has been advertising his show here on his way around the Gippsland area and consequently a lot of outside bookings have already been made, Wednesday Night Tees: Do not forget the club has Wednesday night teas available from 5.30pm to 8pm every Wednesday night at a reasonable cost. Visitors are welcome. The first Wednesday night of the month is a roast carvery and the third Wednesday is a pasta night (three other menu options are available for those who do not eat pasta).
