STUDENTS at Upper Beaconsfield Kindergarten visited the Kew Traffic School to learn about road safety concepts.
The excursion, conducted as part of the school’s Road Safety Education Program, gave the students a chance to learn valuable educational experiences while having fun at the same time.
The children learned about wearing a helmet while riding a bike, correctly fastening seatbelts, riding on the left hand side of the road, stopping, looking, listening and thinking before crossing a road and always holding an adult’s hand.
They then had the opportunity to put their road safety knowledge and skills to the test by riding their bikes safely around the traffic school with real working traffic lights, stop signs, pedestrian crossings and roundabouts.
