Champ equals record

LEANNE Pollard has won her 11th club championship at Drouin Golf Club – and in doing so, has equalled the record of Eileen Smith.
Pollard had rounds of 92, 89 and 85 for a total of 266. She beat Marg Purcell, who finished with a total of 290.
The bronze one division winner was Glenda Warren with 302, ahead of Karen Adams with 303.
The bronze two winner was Marion Devlin with 337, ahead of Joyce Pierrehumbert with 347.
The Edna Cropley trophy for the best nett score over the three rounds went to Kay Feaver with 229.
The championships were played under extreme conditions in week one – and the third round was held over because of more extreme weather conditions.
Tuesday was played in conjunction with the July monthly medal.
The A Grade and medal winner was Karen Adams with a nett 71, from Glenda Warren with a nett 72.
The B Grade winner with a nett 75 was Mildred Lyon and runner-up on a countback was Val Johnson with 76. Down the line balls went to Leanne Pollard 73, Faye Downward 76, Marg Purcell 77, while nearest the pins went to Glenda Warren on the fifth and Joyce Pierrehumbert on the 19th.
Kay Feaver was the winner of the Silver Spoon.
