PAKENHAM Golf Club played a stroke round on Saturday and it was Bryan Clydesdale (12) who took out A Grade with a nett 66. Matthew Ahern (15) won B Grade with a nett 67 while youngster Brad O’Brien (32) took out C Grade and the December monthly medal with a nett 65.
Nearest the pins went to Zac Clough (second), Peter Buff (fifth), Jon Game (eighth), Gary Wilkinson (14th) and Geoff Sullivan on the 16th. Closest second shots went to Robert Morley (third), Sean Henderson (sixth), Stephen Whitehead (11th) and Beau Wheeler on the 17th. Longest drives went to Beau Wheeler, Rob Nobelius and Mitchell Dempster. O’Brien won the Super Comp with a nett 65 from Clydesdale and Corey Porter.

The super comp winner was Robert Dowse and the super comp nearest the pin went to Arthur Sellers on the second.

Pakenham ladies journeyed to Drouin on Thursday for the annual Brett Ogle Trophy. A golf ball signed by Ogle is mounted on a perpetual trophy which is a much sought after prize each year.
This year’s winner was an excited Leanne Barker with 21 points from Marg Andrews and Jan Creagh on 19 with Kay Jones and Liz Garvey on 18. Barker also won the nearest the pin and sunk the birdie for a five pointer.
This Thursday is a novelty nine hole event followed by Christmas lunch and a visit from the big man in the red suit. Annual presentation will also take place.
