MORE than 14 fire-fighting vehicles attended a house fire in Cockatoo on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the Pancake Creek Road house just before 3pm and arrived to find the house well alight.
Cockatoo CFA brigade member Lisa Cameron said the house was gutted, with only one room that items could be salvaged from.
“We were notified when it was already nearly gone,” she said.
“The brigade wasn’t notified until it was well alight.”
No-one was home at the time.
