Gang of four

JUST four people have taken a decision which will adversely affect an entire neighbourhood. How could these four approve the development of 17 multiple storey buildings on a postage stamp area of land in an already traffic congested part of a supposedly parklands area?
The eventual effects on traffic and parking around the western end of the lake at Lakeside will be extreme.
Again, council proceeded without consultation with the community already living in the area. We should be surprised?
Councillors Ross and Moore should be applauded for having the decency to vote against the motion. It is noted that Mayor Owen has an interest and abstained but questions remain.
This is a monstrous over-development. Of course a development of the area had to happen but why allow a developer to stitch up a bunch of amateurs like these people who are supposed to be representing the interests of the citizens who are in place.
Cardinia council is wearing thin as to consideration of its constituents.

David Phillips,
Lakeside, Pakenham.
