Visual and performing art is part of recreational pursuits.
A vibrant welcoming and expanding arts culture that contributes to the social and academic vitality of life within Cardinia Shire gives people the chance for a relationship with stimuli that is one on one with creative expression.
Art vitalises and stimulates the senses in residents and tourists and enables the opportunity for artists to explore and produce a multitude of creative depths within, appropriate to our current experience of life.
Accessing art from many available sources will enable people to engage in arts related expression.
Exposed to art experiences in all forms presents to individuals an appreciation of a wide array of multi- disciplinary, multi-cultural creative art expression that is beneficial because of its cultural balance and enhancement to wellbeing in our fast-paced society.
To further benefit art appreciation from my Ward Funds I will request councillors endorse $1000 to Yakkerboo Art Show, $1000 to Emerald Art Society, $1000 to the Cardinia Grand Art Exhibition being held in February 2014 at the CCC.
Councillor Kate Lempriere DSJ,
