Walking the talk

ON BEHALF of the Cardinia Relay for Life Committee I wish to thank all those who took part and made it such a successful community event.
Over 600 people walked during the 18 hours and their efforts resulted in $49,000 being raised for the Cancer Council of Victoria. This money goes to both research and supporting people and their families when cancer strikes.
Thanks also go to the sponsors, the committee who worked to organise the event and the Toomuc Reserve committee who allowed us to use the football oval.
Drew Morphett the MC for the opening said the grass at the reserve was the equal to the MCG’s, if not better.
George Blenkhorn,
Chairman,
Cardinia Relay for Life Committee.
