FULL marks to Pakenham Show Committee plus their volunteer workers and steady supporters who took on the challenge of returning Pakenham Show to the PB Ronald Reserve with a successful result for the local community.
Inevitably the tradition of agricultural content has had to be reduced and horse events are no longer possible, but the inclusion of more commercial and community participation will probably ensure the continuity of this 100-year-old event so long as there are committed, hard-working volunteers, enthusiastic entries in the horticultural, craft, food and art displays to maintain the original community theme.
Well done to everyone involved with guiding Pakenham Show through a successful transition despite the loss of its former venue.
Gloria O’Connor,
Cardinia Ratepayers and Residents’ Association.
Oh, good show!
