WHAT a pleasant surprise to pick up the local paper (Wednesday 30 April) and see the front page full of Yellow and Black, it sure beats looking at politicians over and over again.
Well done to the Cardinia Shire, Graeme Moore and Andrew Facey on landing an agreement which will see AFL giant Richmond Football Club become an integral part of social and sporting programs in the region.
They might be struggling on the field the Tigers, but they do plenty of great community work off the field with the Alannah and Madaline foundation and The Korin Gamadji Institute at Punt Road Oval just to name a few.
The Cardinia Shire has always had huge numbers of dedicated Tiger fans in the area, local schools will benefit as well as the club supporting Windermere and stamping out bullying at schools.
Maybe we could get an annual event at the new Pakenham Racecourse at (Tynong) happening with Richmond … sure would make this Tiger member of 28 years very happy … EAT ‘EM ALIVE TIGERS.
