REGARDING the movie critique (Pakenham Gazette, 11 June, page 31) I think the review by Jason Beck on the Tom Cruise Film (Edge of Tomorrow) is rude and ignorant.
Why it was not edited out before publication is slack.
My friends and I who are all elderly go to the films regularly and while I’m not a Tom Cruise fan, neither have I come across “brainless old bats” in the theatre.
Perhaps the writer and the editor should have some respect.
