WHAT’S happened to our train timetables, you may ask.
On 27 July new Metro and V/Line timetables were introduced on the Pakenham and the East Gippsland line.
There are now more Metro trains between the city and Pakenham – that’s good.
However, gone are the trains that in the past ran express in peak times between Oakleigh and Caulfield – that’s not good.
The V/Line train times for departure have also changed – that may be good. However, although the trains are stopping at the same stations as before, most journeys are taking longer – that’s not good.
Metro, let’s have the express trains back and have some trains stopping at all stations originating and terminating at Oakleigh as was done some years ago.
That would be very good!
Bruce Gillies,
Pakenham.
