It’s of no surprise to me that we already knew that Mr Battin preferred to do his shopping in Japan, New York and London.
Three trips overseas for a first-term backbencher? Really?
When Mr Battin attended the Berwick Market and distributed his Shop Local bag along with copies of his community update, it did not surprise me to find out that the community update was not produced locally but by a printer in Dandenong.
I am curious, Mr Battin, the ‘shop local’ bags you were distributing, who produced them?
Throughout Mr Battin’s term in office, the Napthine Government presided over almost weekly announcements of hundreds of job losses and did absolutely nothing to stem the tide.
No surprise that Mr Battin shops locally but buys elsewhere. How disappointing.
Jack Valic,
Pakenham.
