WHILE the bigger boys at Pakenham United prepared for the season opening Football Chaos Cup, a few of the younger Cougars took to the pitch. The under-14 Cougars - last season’s FFV Boys 13D league champions - took on the higher ranked Casey Panthers in a scratch match on Sunday. The young Cougars fared well, but the size and speed of the Panthers had the Cougars over as they lost 1-4. Brandon Lacko - pictured streaming up the field against Mason Koffman - was one of the new additions to the league winning side over the off-season, which for the young Cougars has never really happened. The senior Pakenham United lads will start their Football Chaos Cup campaign on 21 February, with group matches slated against Bayswater Strikers, Monash and Whitehorse United for the day-long tournament at Newborough. 134286 Picture: JARROD POTTER
