Chisholm hub for trades

CHISHOLM’S new Berwick Trade Careers Centre (BTCC), open in 2015, is available for trade employers to get quality apprentices. The commanding building, completed in 2014, rises up on Chisholm’s Berwick campus as a hub for trades.
Architecturally designed, the landmark building houses a unique delivery model, where traditional trades such carpentry, builders, plumbers and electricians will work together in the one floor space, as well as in state-of-the-art training rooms within the three level complex, simulating real work situations, where multiple trades work on a project together.
An interior hull rising up the three levels of the building can accommodate building a full scale house (under cover) and fit out, and then can be disassembled and redone with a new batch of apprentices.
The BTCC also offers a cutting edge hair salon for aspiring hairdressers.
The facility is the only one of its type in Victoria, located in Kangan Drive near the heart of Berwick, and a few minutes away from the Berwick train station.
