Global network of excellence

THE new Officer Secondary College is open for business.
The college is architecturally designed with 21st century learners in mind.
It has been fully fitted out with hearing augmentation that will benefit not just the hearing impaired students but all learners.
This is the first year for the school and it has opened with state-of-the art facilities coming on line including hospitality, gymnasium, research and resource centre, administration and performing arts.
Officer Secondary College is next door to the Specialist School which provides it with a platform for inclusion.
It also belongs to several global collaborative networks.
Because it is a new school staff are able to build the culture of their college from the ground up.
With only a year seven intake each year, staff can ensure there is a high quality curriculum and culture and expectation of excellence in every aspect.
The school is part of a global education network that enables the students to develop skills required for the future.
There is a three court gymnasium, co-funded by Cardinia council, that will bring the school and broader community together.
The aim is for the college and council is to be a community hub.
The college is a team teaching school that aims to personalise learning to ensure success and excellence.
Staff, from newly graduated to experienced professionals, have the flexibility to deliver.
The school has just held a hugely successful grade six information evening but for those who missed it they can go onto the website and register for a college tour.
Find Officer Secondary College at 1 Parker Street, Officer.
Office hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Phone 5942 4000.
