WITH due respect, when it comes to residents’ safety it is a priority.
Cr Jodie Owen was the only councillor who has the decency to acknowledge the issue of Gumleaf Lane and it is not even her ward – says a lot for the other ward councillors, but not surprised – many residents have complained and they’re lucky to get a response.
The fact the council has not closed the road as originally stated after the opening of Siding Avenue is a real concern, maybe you should slip on your Wellington boots and take a timely stroll across the area and see the problems residents have endured due to council inaction.
What a pity you have such a rude upstart arrogant attitude towards ratepayers, especially the way you respond in such a manner of some authority talking down to people.
Your demeanour leaves a lot to be desired with many ratepayers – councillors are elected to serve, not to be served, this is not the 15th century.
Maybe the $7000 you spent of ratepayers’ money on a director’s course would have assisted you in dealing with people – obviously not, what a waste of ratepayers’ money.
Safety of residents is the issue, it’s not about you Cr Dame Kate.
I am sure the press will be interested in your response.
Andrew McNabb,
