Wounded knee battle

A NASTY knee dislocation to NAR NAR GOON under-18 player Ethan Kulkewycz held up play for almost an hour in the club’s clash with NEERIM NEERIM SOUTH at Toomuc Reserve on Saturday. The game was only eight minutes old when the 16-year-old Kulkewycz kicked the ball awkwardly in the backline, twisting and dislocating his knee as he kicked. Unfortunately the ambulance was delayed for 40 minutes as it had been initially dispatched to the wrong location. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, the trainers from Nar Nar Goon remained with Kulkewycz providing him with professional care and comfort. Up until the injury, the Cats were ahead 2.1 (13) to no score. Following the delay, it was decided that the game would be shortened to two quarters of 25 minutes to allow the following games to start on time. The Cats came away 28-point victors, 10.6 (66) to 6.2 (38).
