A DEGUSTATION restaurant, iconic hotel and a modern cafe/bar/foodstore round out the hospitality finalists for this year’s Casey Cardinia Business Awards, announced earlier this month.
Beaconsfield brothers Blayne, Tyson and Chayse Bertoncello opened their restaurant ‘O.My’ two years ago and haven’t looked back.
Degustation is a style of dining which focuses on sampling a variety of small and specialised dishes. The brothers pride themselves on using fresh ingredients to create unique tastes.
Coming off the back of two recent major awards, Tyson Bertoncello said the experience had been popular among diners from across Melbourne.
“When we first started up, people were walking in and saying ‘I just want a steak.’ All we were doing at the start was just trying to get people in the door,” he said.
“Now we’re finding that guests are embracing the food and really appreciating the dining experience.”
He said that the restaurant’s Beaconsfield location was a real asset.
“We’ve always lived and worked in this area and our gardens are local. It’s a great spot.”
Ambrosia cafe, bar and food store was named for the food of the gods and goddesses in Greek mythology, and will provide a dining experience that could only be described as divine.
Sourcing ingredients both locally and from overseas, the Berwick cafe has perfected tapas-style dining but also offers more traditional dishes.
Ambrosia takes innovative eating to the next level, offering guests an exceptional dining experience as well as various catering options. There is also a corporate gatherings and functions service, where clients can hire wait staff and equipment all at a reasonable cost.
The jewel in the crown may just be the cocktail menu, boasting an impressive mix of contemporary and classic favourites.
Located in Beaconsfield, the Cardinia Park Hotel has provided a high quality dining experience to locals since 1870.
Offering a bistro, sports bar and bottleshop, ‘the Cardi’ prides itself on old fashioned hospitality delivered in a modern setting.
Local and international wine and beers perfectly accompany the extensive menu, and children and seniors are well catered for.
The Sportsbar will delight any fan, offering full coverage of footy, cricket, soccer, all racing codes and national and international events on over 30 screens. Eight draught beers/ciders on tap will enhance the experience, as will a light snack, parma or steak.
