Gems celebrate milestones

The Red Gem story with a rich history begins in Victoria’s beautiful Dandenong Ranges in Gembrook.
It started as a pack house in the 1950s along with a trusted brand name of Red Gem Potatoes.
It now continues with two amazing gentlemen within the company sharing fantastic career milestones.
Guido Cerchiaro is celebrating 35 years at the helm of the business as managing director and now sole owner leading a local business that has had enduring relationships with its staff, customers and the local agricultural community.
Joe Lenders is the business manager who is celebrating 30 years with an inviable reputation also within agricultural and the local sporting community.
The Red Gem aims to offer the best and freshest produce ‘from the heart of the land’.
It says it is extremely proud of these staff and all other achievements.
The company is a national business and a leader in fresh potatoes and onion supply domestically and for export. It is now a third generation grower with knowledge being passed down to direct the business into the future.
After 60 years in business Red Gem now counts Coles Supermarkets as its largest customer.
