Yard and demand down again

Numbers were reduced again last week at Baw Baw Livestock Exchange with 111 head penned, and easier demand pulled averages back for the second week, with the yard average 12 cents easier at 283 cents.
Three bullocks made to 265 cents, back 24 cents, and averaged 260 cents, back 24 cents, 13 heifers made to 295.2 cents, back eight cents, and averaged 268.6 cents, back three cents.
Nineteen steers made to 308.2 cents, back eight cents, and averaged 264.9 cents, back five cents, 58 veal made to 345 cents, back 19 cents, and averaged 311.9 cents, back four.
On Thursday there were 23 bulls penned and sold to firm demand topping at 288.2 cents and averaging firm at 247.5 cents.
The top sale for the 337 cows yarded was 257.2 cents, back eight cents on the previous week with the average firm also at 202.9 cents.
The draw for 16 and 17 August is: 1, Scotts; 2, S.E.J.; 3, Landmark; 4, Gibbon; 5, Elders.
