Cardinia Men’s Shed – A place for connection and well being

As we mark RUOK day, it’s an important reminder that a simple conversation can change a life. At Cardinia Men’s shed, we understand that staying connected and having a purpose is important for their mental health and well being.

The shed is more than just a workshop. It’s a welcoming space where men of all ages can come together, share skills, build relationships and support each other. While the sounds of machines echo through the shed. It’s often the quiet chats over a cupola that mean the most.

Whilst health and well being are the heart of what we do. We often have guest speakers come in and talk on a variety of topics. From physical health and exercise , mental health, nutrition and legal issues. These sessions give our members the tools to look after themselves and each other.

We are also supported by a strong network of local businesses, who recognize the value of keeping our community healthy, connected and engaged. Their contribution allows us to keep offering programs and opportunities which enrich the lives of our members.

So on this RUOK day we encourage everyone to check in with a mate. If your looking for a place where you’ll always find good company, practical projects and a supportive community, the doors of Cardinia Men’s Shed are always open. After all a shed is more than making things – It’s about making mates.
