Feel like you’re in Spain

Get ready for a night that feels like you have stepped straight into the heart of Spain.

Karavana Flamenca join forces with A Las Raices from Alicante to bring the magic, rhythm and soul of the Gipsy Kings to life with electrifying authenticity. This collaboration blends spellbinding energy, world class musicianship and a rare depth of cultural insight that only artists who have toured with the Gipsy Kings themselves can offer.

The seven piece line up fires up the stage with duelling flamenco guitars, driving bass, upbeat Afro Cuban grooves, keys and soaring Spanish and Romani vocals that lift the room. From the first note you are transported to a place where music, passion and storytelling collide.

Karavana Flamenca have won fans across Australia with performances at major festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival and the National Folk Festival, as well as shows at iconic venues such as MONA and Newcastle Arts Centre. Their international touring includes Spain, France and South America along with acclaimed support shows for the Gipsy Kings. Reviewers praise them for music that captures the true spirit of Spain, harnessing Romani, Latin, Moorish and Cuban influences.

A Las Raices bring their own fire to the stage. Based in Alicante, their talent has carried them across Europe including the UK where they recently performed a Gipsy Kings show at Tribfest, the world’s biggest tribute music festival. They are dynamic, exhilarating and when they team up with Karavana Flamenca the result feels powerful enough to spark a musical revolution.

This is a show for anyone who loves the Gipsy Kings, vibrant fusion, high energy musicianship and the warmth of Spanish culture. It is a celebration, a journey and a night you will want to experience for yourself.

Door, bar and beer garden open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:30pm. Light supper will be provided at interval. Please advise if there are any dietary requirements prior to event. Dress code for event is smart casual.
