BEACONSFIELD’S under 15 (1) side moved into the preliminary final by holding on in the last quarter of its semifinal against a strong breeze to win by 10 points.

UNDER 13 (1)

Beaconsfield battled hard to defeat Fountain Gate in the semifinal on a cold and windy Saturday night. Beaconsfield played a fantastic game, particularly in the last quarter, when the players fought tirelessly to ensure the Gators were contained.
Alex Benbow was given the bestonground award, James Dobson was brilliant in the ruck and Michael McPhie in the centre ensured the ball was delivered to the forward line where Mark McManus was the target. Beaconsfield will play Berwick in the preliminary final next Sunday.

UNDER 12 (2)

After kicking against the wind in the first term, Beaconsfield was only one point down on Fountain Gate at quartertime, before booting 2.3 to 0.1 in the second quarter to go in at halftime 13 points up. Fountain Gate put up a gallant struggle in the second half but did not score, while Beaconsfield added 1.5 to run out winner by 24 points and move straight into the grand final.
