Group revamps meetings

By Jim Mynard
CASEY Business Development Group secretary Nicola Saunders said the group’s events calendar for 2007 would soon be announced.
Ms Saunders said breakfasts would have a slightly changed format with a spot for one member to make a 10minute presentation. A guest speaker who will be allowed 30 minutes will follow this.
Breakfast will be served from 7.10am.
Speakers will be at the rostrum by 7.20am and this segment, including questions, will finish by 8.10am followed by time for networking.
As well as the opportunity for members to socialise at its breakfasts, the group also holds showcase evenings when four members from separate industries discuss their businesses for 15 minutes each.
Ms Saunders said members were invited to register their interest to showcase their businesses at either a breakfast or a showcase evening.
“Timeslots will be allocated on a first in basis, bearing in mind one person per industry.”
She said a waiting list would be established to cover situation when someone had to pull out.
“We have found from past functions that people book and fail to show or notify us that they are no longer able to attend.
“This has an affect on the group funds because we must provide numbers to the venue for catering and have to pay for noshows.”
Further information on meeting dates will be available from Nicola on 0424 103 217 or 9704 7628 or bolderbolder.com.au.
