SAMANTHA Thomson tasted success dancing at the recent Berwick Highland Games.
The nineyearold Berwick youngster, who dances with the Berwick Highland Dancers, won Berwick Beginners Premiership in the highland dancing competition.
Samantha has only been dancing for a little over a year and is showing great promise, her dance teacher Cathy Rees says.
Ms Rees said Samantha scooped the pool at the Berwick games.
To take out the premiership, Samantha won all dance categories performed on the day.
Ms Rees said Samantha had been working hard to learn her routines.
“She is confident and she is improving all the time,” she said.
Samantha moved to Australia from Aberdeen in Scotland with her parents Elaine and Keith two years ago.
Her mother Elaine said Samantha really loved doing the dancing.
