Winning the toss against top side Beaconsfield, Nar Nar Goon batted and was soon in trouble at 3/12 off eight overs. Mick Payroli joined Troy Knights and the pair took the score to 73 before Payroli fell for a well-made 33. Defending such a small score was always going to need tight bowling and good fielding. After seven overs, Beacy had slumped to 4/10, with Ryon Tocknell twice knocking out the middle stump. Nick Bransgrove then ripped out Beacy’s middle order out, taking 3/23. At 8/90, captain Col Hodson wrapped up the tail, finishing with 3/13. Jordon Hodson took two great catches as the Goon won by 14 runs, keeping alive its finals chances.
