A CELEBRATION turned sour when a woman was stabbed at Kooweerup on Saturday night.
The 45yearold woman was at a private party in Grange Court when she was stabbed in the back with a steak knife.
The incident, in the backyard of the house, happened about 11.20pm.
Police said the woman was taken to Dandenong hospital for treatment but her injuries were not lifethreatening.
A 54yearold Cranbourne East man was charged with recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing serious injury and conduct endangering life.
He was due to face court this week.
