Berwick juniors eye finals

BERWICK junior under14 team is aiming for a finals’ spot after a 56point win against Pakenham at the weekend, but must win all remaining games.
The team started well with five goals in the first quarter, while holding Pakenham goalless and went in at half time with a handy lead.
The Wickers kept the pressure on with another five goals in the third term.

UNDER 12

In windy conditions Berwick White battled hard against a very determined Mossgiel Park to eventually run out winners by 21 points.
Two goals against the breeze in the first quarter set up the win.
Tireless running by Jayden Joyce, Matthew Buntine, Darren Williams and Jackson Hogan constantly drove the ball forward, while strong marking in defence by Dane Watkins, Justin Forbes and Andrew Kay turned back many attacks.
The club congratulated Jack Taylor on his 50 games.
