WARRAGUL schoolgirl Courtney Stevens has been selected to represent Victoria in the 17-and-under Victorian team that will compete in Penrith, NSW on 25 April.
Courtney, who lives in Moe, has been training with 25 girls for the past seven weeks in the hope of selection and 12 players were picked from the group last Sunday.
The remaining 13 will go into a development squad, of which Courtney was a member in 2005.
She has played in eastern zone regional teams since she was 13 and has played for the Latrobe Valley team in the state titles for the past three years.
Courtney also represented Victoria in the VSSSA schoolgirl competition, winning a silver medal.
