Panthers soccer hunt

CASEY Panthers Junior Soccer Club is hoping Australia’s recent success in qualifying for the 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany will increase new interest with its junior players for the future.
With the Casey Panthers Club formed in late 2003 by John Romero and then fielding three sides in the 2004 season, the current committee hopes to field as many as eight teams in the 2006 season.
The club has support from its sponsors, the Casey City Council and the Oatlands Primary School, Kurrajong Road where current training is held on a Thursday.
Match day games will be held at the K.M. Reedy Reserve in Hampton Park, until the club’s own ground is completed shortly in the Oatlands area.
The 2006 player registration day will be held on Sunday, 5 February at the Oatlands Primary School with a huge sausage sizzle from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
