IN the Section 1 grand final both Officer teams played off in an entertaining match. Scores were even with two sets to go and Officer White drew within one game after the completion of the fifth set.
The last set went right down to the wire and at 6all came down a tiebreak. Officer Black managed to win the tiebreak and the match by two games. Both teams provided great tennis.
The Section 2 grand final was equally nerveracking. Tynong, up against Maryknoll, edged ahead by one game after four sets and went further ahead after winning the fifth set 63. But Maryknoll saved its best until the last set, winning it 61 and the match by one.
Both matches had a great family atmosphere and great food, with a barbecue at Tynong and a spit roast at Officer.

Officer Black three sets, 30 games defeated Officer White three sets, 29 games.
SECTION 2
Maryknoll three sets, 25 games defeated Tynong three sets, 24 games.
