THIS year is the international year of microcredit and Pakenham Gumnut Guides celebrated by working on and earning the Microcredit Badge.
As part of that, on Monday 1 August Pakenham Bendigo Bank manager Andrew Loh and customer service officer Leonie Arthur visited the unit meeting.
Gumnuts are the youngest Guides, aged between five and eight years old. Andrew and Leonie explained to the girls what happens to their money at the bank.
“The girls enjoyed the very informative talk they gave,” Gumnut leader Jackie Murphy said.
“They also liked the gift bags they received which included caps and other goodies.”
