BERWICK Netball Club’s Agrade team let a strong Hampton Park get away in the second quarter to win their clash on Saturday by 26 goals.
In an improved effort from the last time the two teams met, Berwick started confidently with a close first quarter.
Hampton Park pulled away in the second and Berwick was unable to capitalise on its opportunities.
Berwick were able to hold Hampton Park in the third quarter, but could not close in on its lead.
Score: Berwick 29 lost to Hampton Park 55.

B GRADE

Berwick played one of its best games for the season against Hampton Park.
The team started strongly displaying some outstanding passages of play in the first quarter.
With accurate goaling from Belinda Walshe and Sharon Bahn, Berwick was able to build on its lead throughout the match.
Casey Anderson and Jenny Randle were solid in defence, causing many turnovers that resulted in goals.

C GRADE

Despite a number of players unavailable this week, Berwick displayed great strength to come away with a hardfought win.
The defensive pressure of Rebecca Stanley and Lynda Viney caused many turnovers in the goal circle.
Sharon Livesy and Lee Safin fed the ball well to the goalers Brittany Thompson and Michelle Roussety.

17 AND UNDER

A determined Berwick fought hard against a tough Hampton Park side, narrowly losing by two goals.
The players had to fight hard for their possessions and the windy conditions saw some erratic passing.
