A HIGH-SPEED pursuit began in Lang Lang on Saturday night when a man drove through a random breath test site at McDonald’s Track.
Police said they reached speeds of up to 160km/h before abandoning the pursuit.
About 40 minutes later they found a red Holden sedan which had been stolen from Richmond several days earlier.
Police said the driver crashed and was found in long grass nearby.
The 28-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested and bailed to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The man, who had no licence, was charged with failing to stop at a random breath testing site, reckless conduct endangering life and other offences.
